Kickstarter Off the Deep End Launched

OFF THE DEEP END

A Visual Swan Dive into the Unknown

I am very happy to announce that my Kickstarter project Off The Deep End has launched! Still in Playa del Carmen and finally got some sunshine. Making a little video on my iPhone was a bigger trick than I had anticipated. And then uploading it somewhere that I could then download at an internet cafe and then reupload via desktop since I couldn´t upload via iPhone... let´s just say it was a lot tougher than I thought it´d be and leave the whining out of it. ;-)

If the weather continues to be nice, thinking I´ll stay here a couple more days then then head out. Haven´t decided where to yet, but I´m leaning toward a place near Chetumal called Bakalar. Might try to squeeze in Merida as well, but that would mean backtracking before starting West.

This is the first time I´ve done a Kickstarter project, but the way it works is that you come up with a project and submit. If accepted, you come up with your total goal and some awards for pledges at various levels. The money is held until the goal has been met and then the funds are released. If the goal isn´t met, all bets are off and no one is charged.

I´m very hopeful that there are enough people out there who love what I do on the road so much that they´re willing to pledge support. In exchange for support, I´ve got some nice awards layed out on the Kickstarter page.

Please consider supporting this creative project and if you dig what I´m doing share links with all your friends!

More coming... Stay tuned!
