You've definitely got some scarier stories out of this trip than your last Mexico trip. I just got finished paying a little too much for a rug in Tunis' medina and felt out of my depth in the maze of narrow alleys. At least the guy who led me to the government rug store had the decency to remind me to keep my bag in front so it wouldn't get stolen. The best pictures from Tunis are in my gallery at DPReview under PStu.
Oh wow! I didn't know you were a traveler/shooter too! Out on my m/c at the moment @ will check out when I get home. One thing to remember about Colombia... if you are in the higher dollar tourist areas, I think you're pretty well protected & safe. If you're carrying a backpack & staying in cheap hostels, the police aren't protecting those areas much & it's a different story altogether.

Love how the composition of the figures and boats leads your eye through the picture.
Tough to concentrate while watching your back for muggers & wrangling a large deterrent stone. :)

Occasional traveler/shooter by way of work. For once I had 5-6 free hours over the 4 days for myself. Otherwise it's dull conference rooms.
I pretty much get a zen like experience when simply wondering around focused on discerning when something resonates for me in unfamiliar settings.
